The Wind That Shakes the Barley 'twas inspired by the Irish ballad of the same name. 'Tis a sad but lovely song. Dead Can Dance do a fantastic rendition of it. So yeah, i got this idea in my head because of the song and went to work on it immediately. Drawn, painted and completed today. Painted on cardboard with acrylics. The song really is quite lovely and i recommend a listen if ya ever get to playlist.com
Great work. I love seeing something that was done quickly or at least finished in one sitting. The texture of the clouds turned out especially well. It almost looks like you used torn apart cotton balls to make them. I'm also enjoying the contrast of the beautiful day on top and the tragedy down below.
